Working in partnership with Richard Broun Associates. This feasibility and research contract involved revisiting a project proposal for a shared use walking and cycling path. Working for a large steering group made up of representatives from Natural Resources Wales, Visit Wales, Snowdonia National Park Authority, Gwynedd Council and Aberdyfi Partnership and Tywyn Partnerships. The work involved moving this access project from its shelved status back into a present day context. The aim of the project was to develop a traffic free walking and cyling route between the coastal towns of Tywyn and Aberdyfi on the Mid Wales coast. Our brief included:

A challenging project due to the highly constrained nature of the land. Designations included SSSI, SAC, pRAMSAR, National Park Status, championship links golf course, extensive sand dune system, railway corridor and limited available unoccupied land or usable corridors for feasible routes.
